Hangin' with the alligators

HANGIN' WITH THE ALLIGATORS

I think the whole alligator scenario is my favorite part of Texas. I never in a million years imagined having it be a normal part of our lives to have alligators hanging out in our neighborhood. This weekend we visited Brazos Bend with the Turner's and Johnson's. As you can tell by the pictures I am fascinated with alligators and the fact that we can get so close without being eaten alive!!

Kai's definitely enjoying himself.

Jace is trying to be tough but isn't quite sure about this whole alligator business.

Kai is already hunting for more alligator. (Notice, Brandon is nowhere to be found. He did not appreciate this experience like Kai and I did).

The Limo Ride

Last March we finished building our home in Katy, Texas and were finally able to move in. For our house warming gift our builder gave us a very generous gift certificate for dinner and a two hour limo ride. We decided to invite some of our closest friends The Johnson's, The Jone's, and the Taggart's. We had a blast.

Christmas Day 2006

Christmas home and away

This Christmas was different from any other. It was the first Christmas we stayed home. Every year we have lived away from home we have found ourselves plunging into the hustle and bustle and holiday travel but, this year was different in a good way. We slept in, checked out the new Train Table Santa delivered, stayed in our p.J.'s all day, and enjoyed being together as a family.

What is with all of the silly faces, Kai?

Snow Day in Grand Lakes

You may ask yourself...how can there be a snow day in tropical Katy, Texas? The neighborhood we live in is absolutely wonderful. The first Saturday in December every year they arrange to have man-made snow delivered. The kids look forward to it all year and have a blast when it finally arrives!
