The rest of Nonny and Poppy's visit to Texas

I know I am a little late on posting this but, as mentioned before my parents came to visit us the week Scarlet was born. We think they enjoyed their time here in Texas. They loved visiting HEB everyday, my dad is a custom home builder so B took my parents to view some of the custom homes being built in the area (the style of home here is very different from the styles in California and Utah where my dad has done all of his building), and they were able to experience Jace's first basketball game. When Scarlet was four days old we went to a 'local' restaurant called "The Swinging Door", and the rest of the time my parents cooked, cleaned, and just hung out with all of us kids.
My parents picked up on the fact that everywhere we went people said, "y'all". They even commented that our native Texan Kai is developing a southern accent. I guess I am completely unaware to it all because I never notice people using southern lingo and I definitely do not notice my three year old having an accent but, maybe that happens when you live somewhere for almost FOUR years or in Kai's case all of your life. :)

Nonny and Kai tend to get really silly when they're together...

Jace's basketball game...

And, taking care of baby Scarlet!!

Thanks Nonny and Poppy for coming to visit. We miss and love you. :-)

One month old...

It's hard to believe our little Scarlet is one month old. Time has flown and for the most part every moment has been great. She was sleeping through the night but, came down with a cold a couple of weeks ago and that was the end of that.

I know this may sound crazy but, Scarlet has been going in for weight checks every week since she was born. I guess the little butter ball isn't "gaining" enough weight regardless of how big she started out. Today she weighed in at 10 pounds 9 ounces. She has grown, I just have yet to hear from the Dr. if that 1/2 lb. is sufficient. I took her in yesterday to get her pics. taken. I love her so much. She is so much fun. So far I must say that she is such an easy going baby and has brought so much love into our home. :)
